Oscillation of higher order difference equations via comparison

Abstract In this paper we shall present some new oscillation criteria for difference equations of the form $$Delta^{it m}{it x}({it n}) + {it q}({it n}{it f}({it x[{it n}- au]) = 0$$ and $$Delta^{it m}{it x}({it n}) = {it q}({it t}){it f}({it x}[{it n}- au]) + {it p}({it n}){sl F}({it x}[{it n}+sigma])$$ via comparison with some difference equations of lower order whose oscillatory behavior are known.
