Quot Schemes on Curves and wTQFT 

I will introduce a weighted topological quantum field theory (wTQFT) that assembles information about Quot schemes of general vector bundles on algebraic curves. This wTQFT can be explicitly described using the quantum cohomology of the Grassmannian. Moreover, it can be used to compute the numbers of points of zerodimensional Quot schemes, yielding the Verlinde numbers. I will explain how the use of general vector bundles ensures that the Quot schemes have the expected dimension and a wellbehaved intersection theory, which are important in the definition of the wTQFT.
